Pho Hien Cultural Festival
Pho Hien cultural festival is one of the biggest festivals in Hung Yen. It is annually organized from the 6th to the 8th of March (Lunar Calendar). The festival is held so as to promote the image of Pho Hien in the past to visitors inside and outside the country. There are many activities in Pho Hien cultural festival.
Pho Hien cultural festival is taken place in many historical relics belonged to Pho Hien National Special Relic, for example, Mother temple, Tran temple, Thien Hau temple, An Vu communal house, May temple, etc. More interestingly, the festival is held in order to restore traditional value, cultural and faith activities of Pho Hien in the past.
Opening the festival is incense offering ceremony, launch flower garlands and colored lanterns. There are thousands of flower garlands and colored lanterns put into the Half-Moon Lake. Moreover, there are many activities in Pho Hien cultural festival such as Cuisine culture, folk games, A Dao singing, Trong Quan singing, etc, which attracts lots of visitors to take part in.
